Mohamed Salah Extends Statement to Liverpool Dressing Room, Reveals Curtis Jones

Jones has revealed that the Egyptian forward apologised to the entire Liverpool squad following the fallout from his televised remarks.

What Happened

Salah was left out from a European match subsequent to making accusations and claiming his connection to the head coach had deteriorated.

“He speaks for himself and he can say his own stuff,” the midfielder said. “He said sorry to the group and was like: ‘If I’ve affected anybody, I apologise.’”

The manager has refused to comment publicly on whether he received a personal apology from the veteran striker.

Team Unity

He emphasized that the squad's reaction remained positive. “He was the exact same Mo, his demeanour was positive and everybody was exactly the same with him,” he continued.

The midfielder also noted that a player's desire to start is preferable. “I understand there are different methods you can handle situations,” he said. “However, if a player is content to just not start, then I think that’s more of an issue.”

Team Form

The team's performance have remained strong in the matches since the interview fallout. He feels the forward's comments were not designed to harm the team.

“In moments of frustration, it has consistently come from a good place,” the midfielder stated. “It's behind us and we’re uniting strongly, getting results and starting to win games.”
