Battlefield 6 Battle Royale Launches Very Soon as a Free-to-Play Offering

Following a long period of rumors, the BR experience for BF6 is officially arriving. The latest rumors suggesting its arrival would coincide with the first season were spot-on. Gamers can jump into the gameplay starting in just a day.

The New Season Adding a Brand-New Arena, Style, and Arsenal

Alongside the battle royale addition, the new season is also beginning. It adds a new map, a new mode, and new weapons. On top of that, Redsec is making its debut. An embedded preview will be released at go-live, offering fans a taste of what's to come.

Complimentary Access Makes Redsec Available to All

Maybe the most significant announcement is that Battlefield Redsec will be complimentary. Similar to established titles, you don't have to own the original Battlefield 6 to join in. Some participants have earlier tested early versions of the experience. Those playtests were run in a testing environment, which the studio described as their largest community collaboration effort.

The heart-pounding excitement when facing opposing teams is unmatched in different battle royale. It's like do or die, and you really mind if you live or perish.

Despite being a critic previously, I'm fully a fan of the battle royale after playing it.

These initial feedback from testers have been very positive. Naturally, the gameplay may have been adjusted over the last couple of months in terms of balancing and pace. But, first impressions are promising that the battle royale could emerge as a true competitor to leading games. Players are expecting that the best guns from the original Battlefield 6 will be available in the BR.
